Free Download, Install and License FreeCAD
In this article we will explain step by step how to download, install and license FreeCAD on your PC. FreeCAD is an open source tool for 3D modeling and you don’t need any license file or authorization key. Available FreeCAD versions for downloading are: 0.13; 0.14; 0.15; 0.16; 0.17;

If you want to download and install the older versions of FreeCAD such as 0.13, 0.14, 0.15, 0.16, go to the page on github:
https://github.com/FreeCAD/FreeCAD/releases
When file downloading is finished, you should save it on your hard drive and run FreeCAD Installer on your Windows. See image below for the details.
Window FreeCAD 0.17 Setup-License Agreement will appear on the screen. Click on the I Agree button. See image below for the details.
Select the folder where the software and documents will be installed. By default, Program files will be installed on C:\Program Files\FreeCAD 0.17 Click on the Next button. See image below for the details.
The next step is to select Components and click on the Install button. See image below for the details.
After a few minutes Installation Complete window will appear. You have successfully installed FreeCAD on your computer. You should click Close to exit the installation wizard. See image below for the details.
You can run FreeCAD for the first time from Windows Start Menu > All Programs and new FreeCAD button will appear. See image below for the details.
After a few seconds Windows will open a FreeCAD main window. See image below for the details.
As FreeCAD is an open source tool for 3D modeling you don’t need additional setup of license file or license key.
